On June 15, with warm summer temperatures, Togo Jetzt! participated in the annual open day of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state parliament on the WIR Meile (“Our Mile”) in the outdoor grounds of Schwerin Palace, together with initiatives such as Couleurs Afrik, DAZ, Miteinander Ma’an, and PRESENCE.
The “Africa Associations” shared a pavilion and presented their project work in various African countries. This gave us the opportunity to talk to the numerous visitors and spark their interest in our work. Children had the opportunity to design and press their own buttons, and we also organized a quiz with a total of eight questions about our project work and migration. The prizes consisted of lovely little items from Africa. A part of the photo exhibition “People with African Roots in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern” rounded off the presentation.
